There will be a test on Friday on cells and body systems.  I have given each student a set of cards to use to study.  Students can either cut them in strips and fold in half to use as flash cards or they can cut each one apart and match them using the list as an answer key to see if they matched them right.

Fundraiser orders and money are due tomorrow.

Students that want to participate in the White House poster contest need to turn in their completed poster tomorrow.

Poster Contest

2015 SOUVENIR POSTER AND PROGRAM COVER DESIGN CONTEST

The White House invites all elementary and middle school students to submit original artwork related to this year's theme for the 2015 Easter Egg Roll Design Contest. The First Lady will select two winning designs, which will be used as part of the White House 2015 Easter Egg Roll program and souvenir poster. In honor of the 5th anniversary of the First Lady's Let's Move! initiative, this year's Easter Egg Roll theme is "#GimmeFive," challenging families across the nation to show the First Lady five ways they're leading healthier lives.

The deadline for submissions is March 6, 2015 at 12:00 PM EST.

• Designs should be uploaded using the form to the right.

Important Papers that were sent home on Wednesday

Wow! What a crazy couple of weeks we have had recently!  On Monday & Wednesday of this week I sent home some important papers for parents to review and sign.

1.  Dental Screening - Students were given a dental screening form on Monday that needs to be signed and returned before March 10.  Students that returned a signed form will be allowed to have a quick dental observation and will be given a "goody bag"  

2.  Progress Reports - Students were given progress reports on Wednesday.  Please review the progress report with your student and return to school signed on Monday.  Students that do not have a signed progress report on Monday will have a consequence.  

3.  Permission to Cedar Grove Retreat Center Field Trip - This is a purple piece of paper that was sent home on Wednesday.  Please sign and return.  IF your student will get a school lunch on that day please record your student's lunch number and choice of lunch.  Please return the permission to school as soon as possible so that I can give the lunch numbers to our cafeteria staff. If you do not have the $12 for the trip right now that is ok, go a head and return the permission slip now.  You can send in the $12 anytime before Friday, March 20th.

I just realized after all students left that I did not have them check their mailboxes today.  I will send home filled folders tomorrow with last week's citizenship cards.
