On Thursday, April 16, from 5-7 p.m. and Friday, April 17, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., the College will welcome the community to a fun, interactive event showcasing the College's Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs.

Field Trip Tomorrow

Tomorrow is our class field trip.  Since we will not be here to participate in "Tacky Day"  Mr. Parker said that we are allowed to wear uniform tops and jeans on our field trip tomorrow.  

Students need to be prepared for the weather because some of the activities will be outside.  Students are allowed to put 1 drink that is 20oz or less in the cooler.  Students need to have drinks and lunches clearly labeled and in disposable containers.  No lunchboxes.  If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

Dreambox Challenge

I wanted to share with you exciting news about a nationwide DreamBox competition that will be taking place over the next few weeks! (March 14th-April 10^th)

 

In this DreamBox math competition where all classrooms will be competing in the amount of lessons they complete. It's a great opportunity for your students to continue to build conceptual understanding and procedural fluency – especially during testing season, whether they're at home, at school, or at the library. 

Every week if our classroom completes an average of 5 or more lessons, we be entered into the weekly drawing and the final 'Persistence Pays Off' Raffle at the end. The contest started on Pi Day (Saturday, March 14), so lets get kids on this program and working!

Help Needed for Science & Tiger ReROARd!

I need help marking and cutting 2 liter bottles for our science classes.  If you are good with an exact-o knife and scissors and able to come into school or take the bottles home.  We need all bottles rinsed and cut by Friday March 27^th, 2015.  Please let me know if you are able to help.

I am pleased you announce that our class has earned over 200 Tiger Roars this school year.  Students voted on celebrating this with an Ice Cream Social.  We will have our Ice Cream Social Next Thursday 3/19/15 during lunch.  I will supply the Ice Cream but I need help with the other items and supplies.  Please let me know if you are able to donate supplies.
